Stefania Pezzoli, PhD
I completed my PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Sheffield, UK. My research aimed to investigate the neural and cognitive correlates of visual hallucinations in Lewy body disease and Alzheimer’s disease by integrating multimodal neuroimaging and neuropsychological measures. Following my doctoral studies, I conducted postdoctoral research in the Jagust Lab at UC Berkeley, focusing on successful and typical cognitive aging and related brain features, including Alzheimer’s disease pathology. My research interests extend to understanding resistance and resilience to brain pathologies in both cognitively unimpaired older adults and patients with different types of dementia, as well as exploring the relationship with modifiable risk factors.
