Claire Yballa, MS

Claire is a Genetic Counselor with the Memory and Aging Center, working in both clinical and research settings, and supporting the PET Program. She originally joined the RabLab as an assistant clinical research coordinator in August 2022, where she assisted with data management and fulfilled data requests for collaborators in the PET Program.

Through working in the MAC, Claire found an interest in learning about the genetics of neurodegenerative disease and the psychosocial dynamics that families at risk experience. She pursued a master’s degree in genetic counseling at UCSF while continuing to work part-time with the PET Program. Following her graduation in 2026, she became ABGC-certified and rejoined the MAC as a genetic counselor.
