Another publication from the group! This one led by David Soleimani-Meigooni and Stefania Pezzoli and was just published in Alzheimer's & Dementia.
This study investigated the reliability and consistency of amyloid PET visual interpretation across a broad network of experts using their preferred viewing tools. Ten experienced readers from 8 ADRCs independently reviewed 180 scans acquired with 4 amyloid tracers. Overall inter-rater agreement was substantial (Fleiss’ κ = 0.78) and remained high across tracers (Fleiss’ κ = 0.70–0.87). These findings underscore the robustness of amyloid PET visual reads.
This approach will be implemented in the CLARiTI study (we are the Visual Read core for the study!) and has the potential to serve as a training resource supporting future research involving amyloid PET visual interpretation.
