Julien Lagarde's paper comparison amyloid-PET results in Early versus Late Onset Alzheimer's Disease is out in the Annals of Neurology today!
This paper includes data from the Longitudinal Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease Study (LEADS) and the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI), two large multi-center studies. This study involved dozens of people in our group, and in the whole LEADS consortium.
Julien found that, among individuals diagnoses with MCI or mild AD dementia, amyloid-PET positivity rates were higher in early- compared to late-onset AD, and that, among the amyloid-positive participants, EOAD patients had higher amyloid burden than LOAD patients.
