Agathe Vrillon

Student/Atlantic Fellow-GBHI

I am a cognitive neurologist and currently an Atlantic fellow for Equity in Brain Health, at the Global Brain Health Institute, UCSF.

I completed my neurology residency at Paris Cité Université, France and served as an attending at the Cognitive Neurology Center, led by Pr. Claire Paquet, at Lariboisière University Hospital, Paris.

My research focuses on novel fluid biomarkers for AD and non-AD dementia with a focus on plasma biomarkers. I completed my PhD between Université Paris Cité and Göteborg University, Sweden. In Göteborg, in Pr. Kaj Blennow and Henrik Zetterberg’s lab, I worked on development and validation of fluid markers in neurological diseases.

I am interested in approaches combining clinical data, fluid and imaging biomarkers to identify the different pathologies underlying neurodegenerative diseases and to explore underlying mechanisms.
